Hey you! I'm Briar Fontaine Parkinson of "Parky's Pics Photography," a wedding, elopement, and senior portrait photographer in Humboldt and Mendocino Counties. If you are seeking a super fun, relaxed and one of a kind experience, you have come to the right place! I live in beautiful Southern Humboldt, where the weather is beautiful, and there is no lack of amazing locations and light. I love to work out, read inspirational books, and laugh until I cry. “ A day without laughter is a day wasted.” When I am not shooting weddings or senior portrait sessions, you can find me coaching basketball, relaxing by the river soaking up the sun, watching my kiddos swim, or on the softball field watching my husband play in the outfield. I am not only a girl with a camera, but also a hustling momma of two. Nothing teaches you to cherish moments more than watching time fly! My children are 8 and 7, and they are often times my source of inspiration. I quickly learned that photographs are the most precious things we have, so I encourage clients to capture everything! Their little faces and moments change every second.

Being a momma also taught me the importance of hard work. I'm the kind of girl who is dedicated to learning and improving my skill at every opportunity. I am fortunate to have learned the skill of manipulating natural and off camera light to create stunning and vibrant images that are as inspiring as the people I get to work with. I believe in a creating a comfortable, laid back and fun experience in all of my weddings and sessions through creativity, laughter, and a little bit of magic.

I want to get to know you as a friend and give you a one of a kind experience. It's not just about photos for me, and you're not just a number on my calendar. I am so excited about people who invite me into their lives to curate their story through images. It is a special honor. I'm a photographer for the the dreamers, and the lovers of laughter, the brides who don't mind getting their dress a little dirty or sneaking out of their reception for sunset photos, or who come up with unique original ideas for their wedding photos.
