WHERE-SHOULD-I-STAY-WHEN-GETTING-MARRIED-IN-THE-REDWOODS?

An adventure elopement is all about getting out into nature, being active, and finding the most breathtaking scenery!  One of the most important parts of planning an adventure elopement is choosing the perfect location.  There are so many incredible places that photograph so beautifully all over Humboldt County.  Lucky enough for me, I have been blessed to live in Southern Humboldt, right in the heart of redwood country.  If you are the thrill seeking couple, the outgoing adventure type looking for the ultimate redwood elopement experience, I’ve got you covered!

Once you’ve dialed in the perfect location for your elopement, figuring out where you are going to stay is the next step.  Some of the most intimate and magical places to elope in the redwoods are not too far from a cozy & comfortable place to stay.  Here are a few places to consider staying while you are on the quest for an epic adventure!

Benbow Historic Inn - Located in Benbow just south of the entrance to the Avenue of the Giants, this elegant 1920s  5 star riverside inn offers antique-filled rooms, an upscale eatery & free afternoon tea.  Quiet walks hand in hand with your partner along this beautifully landscaped property is an absolutely magical experience!

Miranda Gardens Resort - You can discover this resort in the cute town of Miranda along the Avenue of the Giants, tucked away beneath the redwood trees.   This historic retreat has rustic cottages that are surrounded by gardens & redwoods,   They have a kids play area, a pool and a campfire set up for late night stargazing and cuddles with your significant other.

Myers Inn - This homey Bed & Breakfast resides in the small town of Myers Flat, also along the Avenue of the Giants, you can find this B&B near Burlington campground.  It offers 10 frilly, antiques-filled rooms with fireside dining at night.

Redcrest Resort - Toward the north entrance along the Avenue of the Giants you can discover relaxing wood cabins in a woodsy resort offering a fire pit & a hot tub.   Some of the cabins come equipped with a kitchen if dining in is more your style!

Giant Redwoods RV & Campground - You can find this quiet and peaceful campground also in Myers Flat but right near the waters edge along the majestic Eel River.  There’s something soothing about being near the flow of water, getting in touch with nature and connecting with the one you love.  This place helps you stop time and focus on the here and now.

Humboldt Redwoods State Park - is a state park of California where Rockefeller Forest resides and some of the world's largest remaining contiguous old-growth forest of coast redwoods!  If hiking, wilderness, adventure and being outside is something you both love, staying in this state park is sure to be an unforgettable adventure!

The experience of a redwood adventure elopement is nothing short of amazing!  From the majestic scenic photographs captured, to the intimate memories created.  Make the moments during your experience unforgettable.  I hope the places I listed above will help you as you finalize the details or your unforgettable adventure elopement!
