Are you choosing to get married or elope in the Redwood forest, but are wondering how you can make those photos more magical? Here are some tips to help you achieve that woodland forest whimsical look.

1. Choose a location with magical elements.

Large redwood logs, cobblestone structures, beautiful soft ferns and lush redwood sorrel, or clovers. Choose a photographer who knows which groves in the Humboldt Redwoods and Redwood National Park has these whimsical environmental elements.

2. Light in the environment.

Do you want a softer feel to your photos?Moody?  Or  more dramatic?  The time of day you choose to do your session will affect the mood of the session. Sunlight filters through in different ways at different times of the day.  This varies by redwood  grove and where is it located in regards to the mountains and coast.

3. Add a flower crown and bouquet.

The use of a flower crown automatically makes the session more whimsical. Choose colors that will blend in well with the natural elements.

4. Long, loose flowing dresses are best.

Long flowing wedding dresses are excellent choices as they are flattering. They can also be used as a prop. They catch the wind well and typically made of material that can handle the elements and getting wet.

5. Add a little sparkle.
